RuPaul’s empire continues to grow and grow with each new season and after 12 successful seasons of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ and five of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars’, VH1 has renewed both series for an additional season – alongside behind-the-scenes companion series ‘Untucked’.
“Drag queens have been on the frontlines of many challenging times in our history,” said RuPaul, in a press statement. “RuPaul’s Drag Race 13, All-Stars 6, and new seasons of Untucked will offer more opportunities for our queens to rise to the occasion and spread the love.”
2020 has been the biggest year yet for the franchise. Season 12 brought in the highest number of viewers for date for the series. The show also scored 10 Emmy nods (plus three for Untucked) and received a positive response after crowning Jaida Essence Hall for season 12 and Shea Coulee for season five of its spin-off All Stars.
Other spin-offs include the upcoming ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: Vegas Revue’ as well as ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: Canada’ and ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: Holland’.
Premiere dates for ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season 13 and ‘All-Stars’ 6 have yet to be announced.
