This crude teddy bear fight for his right to be considered human.
Starring: Mark Whalberg and Seth McFarlane
Plot: Life has changed drastically for thunder buddies John, now a bachelor, and best pal Ted, now married to the woman of his dreams. Problems arise when the couple decide to adopt a child, but the law declares Ted to be property and not a person. Angry and dejected, the lovably foul-mouthed teddy bear must now seek legal help from a young lawyer and a legendary, civil-rights attorney to get the justice he deserves.
Remarks: If you’ve watched the first film, you know exactly what you can expect on this one. Some crude humour, drugs galore but most importantly, a bond between man and his teddy bear. I don’t know how much of a fan of the first film I was so I walked into the cinema expecting a disaster. However, I actually found myself laughing a lot in this film. I loved Mark’s chemistry with the teddy. It’s weird but they had more chemistry than some actors have with other actors. Amanda Seyfriend, who plays Ted’s lawyer, shines throughout the film. She blended in so well with the characters. Perhaps it was her characters love of weed but it seemed as if she has known them for years. So yes, there are some freaking hilarious bits. However, as you have seen in the first film, there are crude jokes for days, a shitload of swearing and some really nasty scenes – which can be too much for one sitting in the theatre. This is an improvement on the first film, however, if you didn’t enjoy it then, you won’t enjoy it now.
