This month, the spotlight shines on four exceptional acts: FREDDY L (South Africa), Amma (Nigeria), RCee (Ghana), and Moses Luka (East Africa). South Africa – FREDDY L
Alternative indie trio FREDDY L are fast emerging as one of South Africa’s most compelling new acts, blending alternative rock energy with textured indie sensibilities and deeply honest storytelling. Their debut album, Roadside Assistance, captures the band at their most cohesive – balancing anthemic highs with introspective moments, while exploring themes of identity, love, and connection. Rooted in brotherhood and driven by authenticity, FREDDY L are carving out a sound built for longevity and impact.
Nigeria – Amma
Lagos-born R&B artist Amma is redefining emotional storytelling through a sound that blends vulnerability with quiet elegance. Her debut two-pack release, To What We Were, introduced a voice of rare emotional clarity, one that transforms deeply personal experiences into shared feeling. Ghana – RCee
Ghanaian artist RCee is part of a new generation reshaping the country’s contemporary sound, merging Afrobeats, Highlife, and Afro-fusion into a style that is both soulful and forward-thinking. East Africa – Moses Luka
Tanzanian singer-songwriter Moses Luka brings a fresh and powerful perspective to gospel music, blending contemporary sounds with rich African musical elements. Rising to prominence after winning Bongo Star Search 2025, he has since dedicated his artistry to faith-driven storytelling. His self-titled debut EP, MOSES LUKA, explores themes of hope, gratitude, and perseverance, offering an uplifting and deeply personal listening experience rooted in purpose and spiritual truth.
