Wouter Kellerman and David Arkenstone Expand Their Vision with New Album Release of Pangaea Immersive Realms

Three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning flautist, producer and composer Wouter Kellerman joins forces with GRAMMY®-nominated composer and sonic storyteller David Arkenstone to release Pangaea: Immersive Realms, following the release of the powerful lead single, Ungana. Out today, the album arrives shortly after Kellerman was awarded the prestigious Order of Ikhamanga in Gold by His Excellency, President Cyril Ramaphosa, in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to music, cultural diplomacy and community development.

Pangaea Immersive Realms evolves from Kellerman and Arkenstone’s acclaimed 2021 release Pangaea, reimagined through immersive audio to create a multidimensional listening experience. Inspired by the ancient supercontinent before geographical separation, the project paints an expansive musical vision of unity and coexistence.

“I have been in close contact with Morten Lindberg, one of the top immersive engineers in the world, for many years, and I have a lot of respect for both his immersive engineering skills and musical artistry,” Kellerman explains. “I was very excited when the stars finally aligned for us to work together.”

Kellerman describes Pangaea as “some of my best work, and probably my most cinematic album,” making it the natural choice for an immersive reinterpretation.

The title Immersive Realms reflects the project’s emotional and sonic ambition, transporting listeners through vivid landscapes and worlds of fantasy where imagination, sound and emotion converge. Through cutting-edge immersive sound design, layered instrumentation and cinematic composition, the music surrounds the listener in an experience that feels both intimate and expansive.

“It takes listeners on a deeply cinematic journey into a beautiful world filled with colour, wonder and fantasy,” says Kellerman. “The immersive format allows the music to surround the listener in a way that feels both expansive and intimate.”

More than an album, Pangaea Immersive Realms is a celebration of connection, peace and shared humanity. Across each composition, listeners are invited into an uplifting sonic space that transcends borders and encourages reflection, harmony and emotional connection.

“I hope listeners feel the positive energy we’re trying to send into the world,” Kellerman adds, “and that the music brings a sense of harmony, peace and togetherness to their day.”

Pangaea Immersive Realms by Wouter Kellerman and David Arkenstone is now available on all major streaming platforms. The album follows the release of Ungana featuring Mbuso Khoza, which introduced audiences to the immersive and cinematic world of the project.
