Set A Guinness World Record With Your Pooch!

Ever wanted to set a Guinness World Record? Of course you have! And if you’re not the fastest person in the world or your toenails aren’t incredibly long, there is an easier way – and you get to spend time with your dog! The folks at dotsure.co.za are hoping to break the record for the world record for the largest gathering of dogs wearing bandanas in aid of the Animal Anti-Cruelty League and to educate pet owners everywhere about the importance of taking care of their pets

Want to get involved? Head over to The Irene Village Market on Saturday, 28 October 2017 for all of the action. What’s even cooler is that the event hopes to raise some much-needed funds for the Animal Anti-Cruelty League which dotsure.co.za has promised to match!

Here’s how it all works: The day will begin with the registration of both pet owners and their furry friends, where the bandanas will be handed out. There is an entry fee of R20 per dog (or a higher amount should you wish) Following this, the big countdown in hope of breaking the current world record will begin. After the count, there will be a fun doggy walkathon, where pets and their owners are invited to stretch their legs and receive their award handouts at the finish line. Pet owners are advised to be there early, as the walk will begin promptly at 9am. After that, owners and pets can enjoy the lovely arts and craft and food market so you know it’s going to be a fun day out.

“As animal lovers ourselves, we created dotsure.co.za for the love of our four-legged friends. Pets are such an important part of our lives, we feel they deserve the same care that we afford ourselves. That’s why we’ve developed a leading range of pet insurance products that lets you name your price, and ensures that your beloved pets are adequately cared for. The dotsure.co.za event is therefore centred around the Animal Anti-Cruelty League; the second largest Independent Animal Welfare Organisation in South Africa. We have zero tolerance for animal cruelty and so being able to support an organisation that fights this every day means a lot to us,” says Managing Director, David Roache.

The event is guaranteed to be oodles of fun – and it’s for a great cause! See you there this Saturday!
