I love it when artists push themselves creatively and give fans something a little unexpected. That’s exactly what Jesse Clegg did on his new banger ‘Darker Days’ – and it’s already proving successful. The track, which is playing on radio stations across the country, is the singer’s first release under EMPIRE for distribution.
Darker Days is a moody, cinematic pop anthem about facing your demons and stepping into your truth. “This song came from a place of deep introspection,” says Clegg. “It’s about accepting the darker parts of ourselves and finding strength in the vulnerability of that process. It’s definitely a new sonic space for me—edgier, more raw.” The single was written and recorded in Los Angeles with acclaimed writer-producer Jordan Topf and long-time collaborator Nicholas Petricca (of Walk The Moon).
The track is refreshing, catchy and further proof that Jesse Clegg has what it takes to create hit music.
