K-Pop continues to take the world by storm – and BTS are easily the most popular act in the genre. With every release, the group smashes records around the world but the music video for their just-released new single ‘Dynamite’ has become the group’s most game-changing single to date as the video raked up a staggering 98.3 million views on YouTube in just 24 hours – making it the biggest debut on the video platform to date.
Interestingly enough, fellow K-Pop act Blackpink held the record with their latest hit ‘How You Like That?’ which achieved an impressive 86.3 million views in a 24-hour period just two months ago.
‘Dynamite’ is the group’s first single that has been released entirely in English. The group will give their first television performance of the track on 30 August when they perform at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards.
This isn’t the first time the group smashed YouTube’s 24-hour record. BTS previously held the 24-hour views record several times, most recently with the April 2019 release of “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey (74.6 million views in the initial one-day period).
