Fans of The Bachelor South Africa were really rooting for Marc Buckner and Marisia Van Wyk to find their happily ever after. The first season saw Lee Thompson and Gina Myers call it quits before the show ended but at the second season reunion, Marc and Marisia looked as loved up as ever. However, the couple have announced that they have officially gone their separate ways which means both Bachelor romances have come to an end.
In a cryptic Instagram post, Marisia confirms that she and Mark have gone their separate ways – despite moving in together at the beginning of lockdown. “When I put my hands in yours one day, I’ll know that I can pack away my map, knowing that my search for you is over,” Marisia posted alongside an image of herself.

Later, on Instagram Stories, Marisia thanked fans of the show for checking in on her. “Hi everyone. Thank you so much for the messages and for texting and finding out of I’m okay,” she said. “I am okay, and I believe that everything in life happens for a reason and that you are were you are meant to be. And I am excited for this new chapter in my life.”
Marisia confirmed she will keep the dog that she and Marc have adopted together sharing a photo on Instagram Stories with the caption: “Us against the world baby Si,” followed by a heartbreak and crying face emoji.
Marc and Marisia have also unfollowed each other on Instagram.
