19-Year-Old Tyler Page Makes A Massive Statement With New Single ‘Kill All The Heroes’

Over the past few months, we’ve seen an array of fresh, exciting local acts making their mark through powerful releases. 19-year-old Tyler Page is the latest star to be added to that list as she premieres her second single ‘Kill All The Heroes’.

Tyler explains that the song, which comes after her debut single ‘Don’t Believe The Aliens’ is about the current vibe in the world and the anxiety most (especially young) people feel but try and hide. “The distrust for super wealthy geriatrics who run the world claiming to be the heroes that we need when their only real qualification is an ability to accumulate great wealth,” she says. “A lot of people in the world are disillusioned and cynical about the true intentions of these wealthy ‘heroes’”.

Creating something unique, Tyler lets her textured vocals shine on the single. The song, layered over deep bass, 80s style synths, sublime vocal harmonies and a rolling, grooving beat, quickly commands attention and the powerful message behind the track makes it the perfect marriage.

“kill all the heroes” is definitely one of my favourites,” Tyler explains. “It resonates with the zeitgeist and especially with the youth of today. We should be looking up to our leaders and elders for guidance and a prosperous future, but instead we have been disillusioned by their obvious obsession with greed, power and wealth. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer while we the youth are being robbed of our future. Some of these self-acclaimed “heroes” are actually real life villains destroying the planet and our health and wellbeing just to make a buck. Accumulating wealth seems to be the sole drive behind decisions made for us by the ones in charge.”

The singer adds “Whilst many choose to live the lie and pretend it’s all ok, some are waking up to go to war with these evil overlords who see themselves as heroes. This song is an anthem for those people on the ground, the ordinary people who are brave enough to ask questions, challenge the system in order to create a better future. The truth is the world would be a better place without some of these so-called ‘heroes’”.
