SaxbyTwins Are Back With A ‘Mighty’ New Single

2025 has proven to be a year of true momentum for the SaxbyTwins, and there is no sense of slowing down as they drop their new single, ‘Mighty’. New music is not the only thing on the horizon for this brother duo – they have been announced as part of the line-up for this year’s Rocking The Daisies festival. “This has been a childhood dream come true,” they share. “Every artist aspires to perform on the biggest stages, and for us, Rocking The Daisies is a milestone we’ve worked hard to achieve.”

‘Mighty’ continues on a new journey they’ve embarked on sonically. Capturing the essence of more folk, country, and even hints of gospel, the SaxbyTwins have found the delicate balance between an array of genres. “We believe that we have found our true sound now.” Diving deep into the meaning behind the new single, it’s been described as a heartfelt anthem about love, faith, and healing – “This song is for anyone who’s waiting, who’s hurt, who’s questioned their worth and then found that one person or that one moment that made everything make sense.

The duo are incredibly grateful to their fans for all the support. “Our fans are the heartbeat behind everything we do; they’re the reason we keep creating and sharing our music. Their support, their streams, their demand, it means the world to us. At the core, we’re one growing family, united by a shared vision and a deep connection through music.”

This year has seen the SaxbyTwins mark off their first international performance at a festival in Madeira this past June, and more recently, they’ve been part of the line-up for the Castle Lager Beer Town happening at every Springbok home game. “It has been such an honour for us to get things going for the Bokke!” they share. “Having grown up passionate about sports, this hits home for us.”

As independent artists who strive each day to pave a way for themselves in the industry, this year has allowed them to grow in ways they always believed they could. They were not without their encounters with doubt on their journey, but if there’s one thing these brothers refuse to do, it’s give up. “I think one of the biggest lessons we’ve learned over the years is to keep pushing forward and never let other people’s opinions define your future. For a long time, we’ve been completely independent. Just two brothers with a dream, believing in ourselves and paving the way for other independent artists coming out of South Africa.”
