Nomfundo Moh is certainly making a name for herself in the local music space. She has already released ‘Umthwalo’ and ‘Lilizela’ to a great response from fans and now, she’a commanding attention as she taps Ami Faku and Sha Sha for an ultimate song for the lovers – the R&B-inspired ‘Phakade Lami’.
The moody, retro inspired single affirms Nomfundo as a peer to the acclaimed musicians she featured on the single. Ami Faku and Sha Sha are known for giving us anthems of the tumultuous times of finding and losing love.
On this single, Nomfundo Moh affirms not only knowing her own unique voice. But the musician gives her musical mentors a run for their money as she goes toe-to-toe trading notes with them.
“From doing covers and trying to reach out to sis Ami, Sha Sha and more of my favourite artists in the game. Here we are today, standing amongst the greatest women in music, the ones that I look up to. Thank you so, so much for believing in me and making me believe that my dreams are valid,” the singer tells us.
The release of the song also coincides with an official album announcement. The track, and the star’s previous two singles, will appear on her upcoming debut 13-track album, ‘Amagama’.
