It’s no secret that 5FM DJ Ms Cosmo is a machine on the decks. She is the host of one of the station’s most popular hip-hop shows and in a perfect ode to Woman’s Day, the DJ dropped a special remix of her new single ‘Now Or Never’ with some of the hottest female names in South African hip-hop music.
The DJ’s new single has an incredibly slick beat that and showcases some of the best female emcees in the country. Ms Cosmo has called onto Nelz, Rouge, Meg Mafia, Ms Calaneous, Clara T, Patty Monroe, Phresh Clique, Fifi Cooper, Ms Supa, BK and Gigi LaMayne. I think this is such an important track. Female rappers are on the rise in and around South Africa and I love how they all joined forces to show that they are at the top of their game. Each rapper slayed their verse and I have no doubt that this track will be one of the a standout when looking back at 2016 in South African rap.
