LISTEN: Billie Eilish’s New Album ‘Happier Than Ever’ Is Here

She’s finally back! Pop superstar Billie Eilish has already dominated streaming charts throughout the globe this year with the slew of singles she’s dropped and now, the starlet has premiered her second studio album ‘Happier Than Ever’.

Billie wrote the album with her brother and primary collaborator Finneas, who produced the record in Los Angeles and features the singles ‘My Future’, ‘Therefore I Am’, ‘Your Power’, ‘Lost Cause’ and ‘NDA’.

“I wanted to make a very timeless record that wasn’t just timeless in terms of what other people thought, but really just timeless for myself,” Billie says of the album citing London, Frank Sinatra, and Peggy Lee as inspirations on this album. “The main thing that I would hope is for people to hear what I say and then go, ‘Oh, God, I feel like that. I didn’t know I felt like that, but this is how I feel.’ And maybe, you know, make a change in their life that makes them happier.”

Eilish spoke with Apple Music about creating the project with her brother FINNEAS. “It wasn’t forced, it wasn’t pressured, it wasn’t scary,” she said. “It was nice… I feel like everything I’ve created before this, as much as I love it, was kind of a battle with myself. I’ve actually talked to artists that are now going through the rise, and what I’ve said to them is, ‘I know what it’s like, but I also don’t know what it’s like for you.’ Because everybody goes through something completely different.”

The album serves as the official follow-up to the star’s debut album ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ which she released in March 2019. The album’s lead single ‘Bad Guy’ earned Eilish four Grammy Awards as well as an additional award in the Best New Artist category.
