BET’s brand-new daily local drama ‘Isono’ is taking the country by storm. The Viacom-owned channel has viewers on the edge of their seats and as the series continues to evolve, the channel has revealed some brand-new names joinung the A-List cast.
There is a new kingpin in town as the series welcomes Mannie, played by seasoned actor Emmanuel Castis, and wife Athena, played by award-winning Kate Liquorish. The duo deals in the shady business of smuggling drugs in wedding dresses from their Wedding Bazaar store. Also in the mix is the award-winning Lindiwe Ndlovu, who joins ‘Isono’ as Francinah (Msizi’s sister) and together with her children Tryphosa (Mbali Zakwe) and Dombolo (Paballo Khoza) they bring trouble for Milly and Lilly during their time of grief.
This week on the gripping BET Original Daily Drama, the tortured Abednego tries to escape from Mannie and Gabriel would prefer to stay out of Mary’s drug business, but with Abednego kidnapped, Gabriel decides to help and frantically searches for him after receiving a call from Star Dust Bridal Boutique. Simon suspects that AB and Gabe have Mary caught up in illegal drug business. Mary is amused when she learns that Mannie sells wedding dresses for a living but Abednego assures her that the wedding store is just a front.
Makwande talks to his coach about a career move while Mary’s efforts to make Mcedisi look bad has the desired effect on Esther as she likes the politician more. Msizi is laid to his final place of rest, Lilly is gobsmacked when her evil sister-in-law Francinah, comes bearing gifts and other surprises. Meanwhile Millicent struggles to come to terms with her father’s death and in the end her complicated grief builds a bridge between her and Esther.
Veldskoen is up to his old tricks and makes big promises to VOG, if only they can pull together some money for studio time. Yanga surprises the others by offering to contribute a large chunk of the money needed. Simon tries to play hero to Noluthando when Maradona harasses Millicent in the tavern, but ends up being the one who needs saving.
