It’s the biggest night in country music and last night, Beyoncé performed her controversial country track ‘Daddy Lessons’ with a little help from the Dixie Chicks in one of the greatest mash-ups I have seen in a very long time as they performed at the Country Music Awards. When Beyoncé dropped ‘Lemonade’ earlier this year, many people in country music dismissed it as a country song but it had the support of artists such as the Dixie Chicks so it was lovely seeing the group perform the song with Yoncé.
The chemistry was electric! Not only does the song have a strong country influence but the live performance sees a heavy New Orleans jazz element added into the track. The Dixie Chicks did an awesome job and gave the song new life. This will easily be the performance everyone will be talking about today.
