Warner Music South Africa is proud to announce the signing of multi-talented singer-songwriter Zandie Khumalo to their growing stable of South African talent. The star, and sister to well-known local musician Kelly Khumalo, has been dabbling in music for a while now – and she’s finally ready to make her debut.
Seeing her sister’s career flourish over the past decade, Zandie was inspired by Kelly’s success and knew she wanted to play her part in the entertainment industry. After finishing High School, Zandie became a personal stylist, backup singer and manager to her sister, which she has did up until mid-2017. Now, after weeks of writing and recording, Zandie is ready to make her debut as a serious musician.
The star will release her brand new single in November before her debut album drops via the label early next year. Naturally, Zandie is excited about her partnership with Warner Music South Africa who house local artists such as Zahara, Locnville, Janie Bay, Josh Kempen and more. “Nothing gives me more pleasure than joining a great company like Warner Music. I mean who wouldn’t [be happy to sign with them]?” she says. “I love the atmosphere there and the business aspect is a given. That’s why I am here. l love the family spirit they have going on. We also live in a global world, and I believe our music should be heard worldwide and I am almost certain Warner is the perfect vehicle for me to do that.”
MD of Warner Music South Africa, Tracy Fraser shares Zandie’s sentiment and is excited to welcome to young artist to the Warner stable. “We are delighted that Zandie chose Warner Music to launch her solo career,” she says. “She is such a talented young artist, with a clear vision for her music future. We look forward to making magic together.”
