Top Billing presenter Ryle De Morny wowed fans during his Presenter Search on 3 journey and has since gone on to become a stellar Top Billing presenter while also competing in a variety of lifesaving competitions and has been named the fastest man on sand – a no small feat. Now, Ryle is about to add actor to his resume proving there is nothing he can’t do.
The presenter is set to star in an upcoming still untitled local Netflix production which has just started shooting in Cape Town.
“I have been cast for a lead role in a Netflix original series,” Ryle says in a lengthy Instagram post announcing his new chapter. “[It’s] an absolutely incredible opportunity being a part of one of south Africa’s firsts. Can’t wait to share this journey with you and remind you never to compromise on your dreams and your ambition. That’s your soul trying to make you remember how great you really are.”
Ryle adds that “I can remember fighting the conventional, more often than not stumbling, breaking and hurting along the way. I have thrown myself in to so many situations and I have failed more than you will ever know. I have had to deal with countless moments of disappointment and coming so close to giving up.” He continues “Moments like these make me grateful to have failed in my life. Every bit of pain, stumble and fall has been for opportunities like this. Your dreams are worth Gold! I have been blessed enough to learn that all my failures have lead me to very specific moments in my life. One of them being this. Life is truly about to get crazy adding this to the already full plate but I have you [my fans] right here with me. Let’s do this!”
