So much skin, so little story…
Starring: Jason Segal and Cameron Diaz
Plot: When Jay and Annie first started dating, their sex life was off the charts, having sex almost anywhere they can – but ten years and two kids later, they seem to have lost their spark. Spicing things up a bit, they decide to make a video of themselves trying out every position in The Joy of Sex in one marathon three-hour session. It seems like a great idea until they discover that their most private video is no longer private. With their reputations on the line, they know they’re just one click away from being laid bare to the world but as their race to reclaim their video leads to a night they’ll never forget, they’ll find that their video will expose even more than they bargained for.
Remarks: When I saw that Jason Segal and Cameron Diaz were teaming up for a film I was super stoked but unfortunately I hyped myself up a bit too much. First of all, this is a comedy so I knew there was nothing to really get excited about but after Cameron’s awesome performance in The Other Woman, I expected a bit more. The film starts off with a whole bunch of crazy sex positions which these two lovers film and while super sexy, I could see that they were trying too hard. Cameron, however, has a banging body and you get to see her (and her nipples) in a tight white vest that will get all the guys oogling. The film is funny but there isn’t much of a story here. I also think that blaming “the cloud” for spreading the sex tape is a bit lame – especially since it’s rather easy to erase. The trailer gives away most of the film and is literally filled with the film’s highlights. Great for an evening out, but Jason and Cameron’s performance is really disappointing.
