Breakdown: American rapper, Ludacris, has been hard at work filming movies such as the incredibly popular, and biggest film in South African history, Fast & Furious 7, but he has managed to find some studio time over the past few months and has finally released his eighth studio album, ‘Ludaversal’ – his first since 2010!
How Many Good Tracks: 6 of the 14.
What I Liked: Ludacris is an incredibly underrated rapper and when listening to this album properly, it’s clear just how much talent the guy has. As with many hip-hop albums, Ludaversal is an incredibly honest album from the rapper and sees him explore many aspects of his life. Lyrically, the album is great and each track on the record shows us a side of Ludacris. There are some brilliant rap songs on this record.
What I Didn’t Like: Overall, there is nothing that really stands out on this album. The album is incredibly simple and Ludacris doesn’t necessarily think out the box on this one. The production on this record is basic, which was rather disappointing as well.
