With just one week to go until the inaugural Hey Neighbour festival, organisers have announced that, unfortunately, headliner Rema, known for his Selena Gomez-assisted smash hit ‘Calm Down’, has withdrawn from the festival due to health reasons. In addition, Duckwrth is currently dealing with Vertigo, while JZYNO, unfortunately, won’t be able to attend due to unforeseen circumstances.
The festival explains that they received news from the Afrobeats star this week. Warren Le Grange, Hey Neighbour Festival Director, expressed understanding for fans’ disappointment and apologized for any inconvenience.
“Hey Neighbour Festival remains dedicated to providing an engaging lineup with exceptional talent from various genres. The festival team looks forward to welcoming attendees to an unforgettable event filled with incredible music and memorable experiences,” a statement issued to the media said.
This means that Kendrick Lamar will be headlining Day 2 of the festival on his own.
Phase three tickets for the festival are on sale now via www.heyneighbour.co.za.
