Olivia Dean was the undeniable star of the 2026 BRIT Awards, sweeping four major trophies at the ceremony held Saturday night in Manchester. The British singer-songwriter took home Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Pop Act, cementing her status as one of the UK’s defining voices of the moment. She also shared Song of the Year with collaborator Sam Fender for their powerful duet “Rein Me In,” marking a career-high moment for both artists.
This year’s BRITs made history by taking place outside London for the first time, opting for Manchester’s Co-op Live as the new host venue. The night was packed with standout performances from Dean herself, as well as Harry Styles, Wolf Alice, Alex Warren and HUNTR/X. Comedian Jack Whitehall returned for his sixth stint as host, guiding the audience through a ceremony that balanced emotional tributes with high-energy performances.
Beyond Dean’s dominance, the evening also celebrated industry icons. Noel Gallagher collected Songwriter of the Year, PinkPantheress was named Producer of the Year and Mark Ronson received the Outstanding Contribution to Music award. The ceremony closed on a poignant note as Ozzy Osbourne was honoured posthumously with a Lifetime Achievement Award, accompanied by a tribute performance led by Robbie Williams, a reminder of the legacy that shapes nights like these, even as new stars like Olivia Dean define the future.
