Remember The Wanted? The British boyband who always found themselves competing against One Direction before deciding to take an indefinite break? Well, the members are now trying their hand at solo material and Nathan Sykes is one who is definitely on my radar. The singer just dropped his new single, Give It Up, featuring American rapper G-Eazy – and I love it!
Nathan has a lovely tone to his voice. Sure, he may still look very young but his voice is deep and rich. Unlike many of today’s pop songs, Nathan’s voice is the star of the song. He delivers a stellar performance and explores his many different ranges effortlessly. The song references Blackstreet’s Don’t Leave Me and is a lovely blend of pop and R&B. Nathan is joined by rapper G-Eazy who adds a fantastic rap to the track. G-Eazy has so much rhythm and meaning to his raps and is totally one of our favourite rappers at the moment.
The song comes off his upcoming debut solo album which is due for release later this year. Nathan dropped a sexy video to go along with the sexiness of the song and fans around the world have been going wild. We love this offering from Nathan and it is the perfect introduction to who he is as a solo artist. We’re excited to hear the album, but in the meantime I’ll be jamming to this track.
