There’s an exciting new face on the local music front and Mikhalè Jones is starting a new chapter in her career as she inks an incredible international record deal with Afroforce1 Records and Universal Music. To celebrate the new signing, the songstress launches her brand-new single ‘My Soul’ and it’s a beautifully soulful sonic adventure.
The new single effortlessly shows off Mikhalè’s range and ability to connect to audiences through her vulnerability and emotion.
The song speaks from a deep part of her personal journey with growing into herself as an artist. “Just settling into my twenties and having completed varsity, I was ready to discover my purpose and who I was as an individual. It was scary as f%@k! I was scared of the unknown, because all I knew is that I no longer knew who I was. I became numb as a coping mechanism because the world just didn’t feel like a safe space to be in. I felt like I was losing my soul”, she states.
The track will feature on her upcoming record ‘It Is What It Is’ which is expected to drop early next year.
