Marlon Roudette, one half of the band Mattafix, has brought us solo singles such as ‘New Age’ and ‘When The Beat Drops Out’ and now, the singer is planning to rerelease his latest album ‘Electric Soul’ and has chosen ‘Everybody Feeling Something’ to serve as his new single. Just as in ‘When The Beat Drops Out’, the track uses the steelpan as the lead instrument and screams summer.
The track features the vocals of K Stewart who adds a necessary kick to the chorus where she shows just how strong her vocals are. The track has a simple beat and Marlon has chosen to stay with the basics in terms of production on this record – something I think the track needed.
Summer is around the corner and this is the perfect track and we totally see us listening to this loudly on the beach with a cocktail in hand. Marlon has found a sound that works for him and we can’t wait to get our hands on the rerelease of Electric Soul!
