These days, it’s not often you hear a voice so unique, soulful and emotional that it takes your breath away. However, this happens every time we hear the incredible vocal talents of local singer Louise Carver. The singer has teamed up with American DJ Joe Bermudez on a new single called ‘Sunshine’ which has been dominating charts around the world. Now, she’s ready to launch the single here in South Africa!
The song sees each artist bring out their very best performance. Joe brings a strong beat with many subtle sounds and elements around it without making it sound messy. In fact, the entire song is really bold and simple which I think is why it stands out. Naturally, Louise smashes any song she touches and this is no exception. Much like the beat, Louise restrains her voice as much as possible and doesn’t push the limits. Despite this, her vocals are on full display and she gives a flawless performance.
‘Sunrise’ has been doing incredibly well internationally. Currently, the song is sitting at number three on the Billboard Top Club Songs in the US and is charting on many other charts around the world. “Joe and I worked on the track ‘Sunrise’ in Boston and spent many long hours in studio getting it right. Just knowing that people are enjoying it makes us so happy. I love working with Joe because we both are all about the music and the journey it takes us on,” comments an ecstatic Louise Carver.
The two artists also have an incredible story on their chance encounter. Joe was in South Africa opening for David Guetta a few years ago and on the way to a radio interview, he heard Louise on the Pascal & Pearce single ‘Days Go By’. So, he tracked her down and they started experimenting together. ‘Sunrise’ was the result. The song is spectacular and deserves all of the success.
