Locnville is back, baby! The local pop duo is ready to embark on their new musical era as they officially confirm that their highly-anticipated fourth studio album ‘Burn Box’ drops later this year. Championing the album is the project’s lead single ‘Trophy’ which features Khumz.
The single follows the release of their previous smash single ‘Miracle’ remixed by DJ Zinhle, and featuring vocals by Apple Gule. ‘Trophy’ is an infectious earworm that will having you singing along from the first listen. Khumz and Locnville’s contrasting vocal approaches and tones make for a multi–textured hook on a progressive bassline which will have you hitting repeat.
‘Trophy’ is an upbeat homage to Afrobeat rhythms and Locnville’s signature flow. “Normally our lead out singles give a good taste of the album direction, but this time it’s a stand-alone chapter in a greater story,” Locnville’s Brian Chaplin tells us. “I feel like this track is a good way to warm people up for what’s coming.”
