If we could pick our dream job it would be travelling the world, watching movies, attending red carpet premieres and having some one-on-one time with the stars. Now, this has become Lalla Hirayama’s reality. The V-Entertainment presenter has just announced the launch of her brand new collaboration with M-Net Movies which will see her attend junkets and both local and international premieres as part of her new ‘minisode’ Lalla Land.
The minisodes will be premiere every Sunday night before the Sunday night premiere on M-Net Movies Premiere (DStv Channel 103) but will also filter throughout the other M-Net Movies channels. M-Net has also hinted that they might leak the minisode online before it premieres on the channel which is exciting.
Lalla, an avid movie lover, will not only represent the M-Net audience and ask the stars questions about the film that we’re dying to find out, but she will also take us on her adventure. The show will include her entire trip abroad including the moments before and after the junket which adds a different element to the previous fillers M-Net Movies used on their channels.
We’re excited that Lalla will be bringing us the gossip from the international junkets, however, we’re thrilled that the show will also be supporting our local film industry which has grown tremendously over the past few years. In fact, it was only last month when local film ‘Vir Altyd’ smashed box office records and became the biggest Afrikaans film of all time.
“This is an opportunity of a life time! I’m just so grateful I have been afforded to live out my dream and call this my job,” Lalla says as she announces her new show. “I’m excited to bring Africa closer to their favourite Hollywood stars as well as box office hits.”
Lalla has just come back from the London junket of Batman v. Superman where she spoke to Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg and film’s director Zack Snyder. This week she heads to Los Angeles to chat to the cast of the upcoming comedy Bad Neighbours 2. On the local front, Lalla was at the premiere of the popular local film Happiness Is A Four Letter Word.
We can’t think of anyone better for the job. Lalla is confident, beautiful and has the cheeky personality needed to make these inserts interesting and informative. We can’t wait to catch the first Lalla Land minisode
