She’s one of 2015’s most exciting breakout stars and with five number one singles under her belt, Jess Glynne is on the road to doing big things. Her debut album ‘I Cry When I Laugh’ has already spawned the hits ‘Hold My Hand’ and ‘Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself’. Now, however, Jess gets emotional with her brand new single ‘Take Me Home’ – which also serves as the 2015 BBC Children In Need anthem.
Jess has a powerful vocal which really gets put on display in this touching ballad. I think pop music has been craving a talent like Jess who not only sings beautifully, but who is able to create music that touches people’s lives. Vocally, the song is bound to give you goosebumps and it’s clear that the song means a lot to Jess, who was clearly emotional recording the song.
On the song, Jess says “This is a song about the need to have someone who cares when you are at your most vulnerable. It’s an emotional song for me and I have to admit it brings me to tears when I sing it live, likewise when I made the video. I hope it makes people realise that they should reach out to others at a time of need and I’m so excited for it to be part of BBC Children In Need. It’s such a special cause.” It’s not often a song with a message is released a single and this, again, shows the value Jess adds to the music industry. Another beautiful single from the pop star.
