As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to wreak havoc on the local entertainment space, Idols South Africa has taken the audition process for the show’s upcoming 17th season online – to incredible results.
Mzansi Magic confirmed today that, after launching its first-ever online auditions on the 29 of January 2021 in line with lockdown restrictions and ensuring the safety of the many hopefuls, over 10 000 entries have been submitted – and counting!
“This is a testament that young people of South Africa are still hungry for this competition; they believe it is a platform to help them become the singing sensations they believe they are,” the channel said in a statement’
With only 5 000 entry spots remaining, those who are interested in being a part of South African Idols season 17 are encouraged to enter before the 15 000 target is reached. Online entries close on Sunday 14 of February 2021.
To enter: The video must be 30 seconds long of just singing. All other information will have a part where it is catered for on the entry. It is important for the participants to prepare their 30-second-long clip and all the relevant information before they log on to submit their entry.
The new season of Idols SA will start later this year on Mzansi Magic (DStc Channel 161).
