Faith K is back – and she’s ready to show Mzansi a different side to her artistry as she taps Thabsie for her hot new single ‘Moyeni’.
‘Moyeni’, a local slang word which, directly translated, means to push forward or endure. The song serves as Faith K’s follow up single to her sophomore EP ‘K’LOUD’ which featured the fan favourite ‘Champ’ with label mate, pH RawX, and ‘She’ with Hip Hop mastermind Reason.
On ‘Moyeni’, Faith K reunites with pH RawX who served as a producer on the song. The producer has crafted hits for some of the biggest names in local hip-hop and brings some forward-thinking production to the song.
“The chemistry between PH RawX and I is something to marvel at, this song is beautiful’, Faith K says of her working relationship with the producer.
‘Moyeni’, as a song, is at the intersection where culture meets tradition – a place Faith K has positioned herself in the industry. Having Thabsie on the song is another way the rapper is pushing her creative boundaries – and the song turned out to be something really special.
“This studio session was amazing. Shout out to everyone that played their part and made magic on this track,” Thabsie adds.
