Charlie Puth Taps BTS’ Jung Kook For New Anthem ‘Left And Right’

Charlie Puth is certainly heating up the global pop space this year. He has already released two hit singles, namely ‘Light Switch’ and ‘That’s Hilarious’ as he prepares for the release of his upcoming studio album ‘Charlie’ and now, he’s tapped BTS’ Jung Kook for his catchy new single ‘Left And Right’.

Known for giving a glimpse of his creative process to his more than 16 million followers on TikTok, Puth has been teasing the track for months while fans speculated on the surprise collaboration.

Produced by Puth himself, “Left and Right” instantly captivates with its vibrant, funk-fueled sensibilities that effortlessly fuse the two hitmakers’ signature sounds. The highly infectious track notably ignites the duo’s creative collaboration after performing “We Don’t Talk Anymore” together at the 2018 MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards.

The song arrives alongside an official video, which was directed by Drew Kirsch. The playful visual humorously sees Puth and Jung Kook through a therapeutic fantasy to escape their own minds.

BTS shocked fans back on June 14 with an announcement that they were going on a hiatus to work on solo projects, but Jungkook quickly clarified for worried ARMY that they weren’t breaking up. In a livestream video, Jungkook told viewers — according to a rep — that while the guys are indeed going to spend time focusing on their own projects, they aren’t going to stop working together as a team and are not disbanding.
