Calum Scott Announces South African Leg of ‘The Avenoir Tour’

Get ready, South Africa — Calum Scott is coming back, and this time, it’s bigger than ever!

The multi-platinum-selling singer/songwriter will return to Mzansi in January 2026 for the South African leg of his much-anticipated global trek, The Avenoir Tour. Following unforgettable performances in 2018, 2022, and 2023, Calum is once again set to serenade local fans — this time with stops in Cape Town, Durban, and for the first time ever, Pretoria.

Since his debut tour in SA in support of his Only Human album, Calum has built an unshakable bond with his South African fanbase. “I remember my first time in South Africa, being blown away by the demand for tickets to my show — it made me feel so special!” he recalls. “Every time that I have been back, I have felt the same love and excitement. Touring is my favourite part of my job, but touring in places like South Africa is just a dream come true.”

And fans will have every reason to be excited — The Avenoir Tour is Calum’s most ambitious tour to date, featuring massive UK and European arena shows across 24 cities, and now, another chapter in his love affair with South Africa. Expect a night filled with soaring vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and the kind of stage presence that has made him a global fan favourite.

On Friday 23 May, Calum Scott premiered his new single “Die For You” — a tender declaration of fiercely devoted love. The latest release from his upcoming third album Avenoir (due out September 12th via Capitol Records), “Die For You” reaffirms the UK-based artist’s incredible talent for crafting the kind of songs that become the soundtrack to our lives’ most meaningful moments.

As Calum reveals, his new LP borrows its title from John Koenig’s The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, a word-construction project that defines “avenoir” as “the desire that memory could flow backward.” “Avenoir refers to how we move through life like a rower moves: always moving forward but facing backward, seeing where we’ve been, but not where we’re going,” says Calum. “The songs on this album speak to both regret and sorrow, and to undying love — a plea to live life to its fullest. While writing the album, I asked myself, ‘If I could, would I choose to be able to see what’s coming?’ I truly believe we are made from our successes and our challenges, from adapting and overcoming. The concept of Avenoir challenges all of us to live in the present, serving as a constant reminder that it is the surprises in life and the not knowing that makes life terrifying, but also truly magical.”
