Earlier this year, ChianoSky teamed up with Kid X’s hit single ‘Aunty’ and her eclectic mix of pop and soul proved to be a hit with hip-hop fans around the country. So, the star continues to explore this genre as she taps Kwesta, one of the country’s biggest rappers, for her new single ‘Diamonds & Gold’.
Despite the hip-hop feature, the song has pop undertones and is a place the red-headed beauty is incredibly comfortable in. The song, produced by Saint Danger, doesn’t overwhelm with excessive production and allows both artists to beautifully show off their talents.
The singer says that she draws her lyrical inspiration for the song from the idea that today’s society has blurred perceptions of value, brought to life by the unpredictably inspiring city she calls home – Johannesburg.
