After their incredibly successful English EP ‘Young And Wild’ with pop star Daniel Baron, Afrikaans pop group ADAM are back with a brand new single as they ready their upcoming third studio album. The album will officially be titled ‘Hoogtevrees’ and the boys decided to release the album’s title track as the lead single off the project – and fans are counting down the days until the album drops this August!
The song sees the lads doing what they do best and that’s bringing catchy pop music to their local audience. I think ADAM is a group that understands pop music and a group many local pop artists can look up to. The song is super catchy and although I feel like we’ve heard the melody in the verse a million times, the band brings something fresh with the chorus. Their vocals are some of the best in the industry and the production is simple but effective – everything a good pop track needs.
“It’s about a romantic relationship that has come to a crossroad which makes you wonder: What now?,” the band’s Hugo Ludik said of the song before explaining that sometimes one simply needs to close their eyes and take a leap of faith. “You need to forget the past sometimes and start fresh on a clean page.” The song is clearly a hit and we predict it could be one of the band’s biggest tracks to slate. The single is also the lead track off the band’s new album of the same name. The record has just been released and features 13 brand new tracks from the group and includes collaborations with Vaughan Gardiner and Die Heuwels Fantasties. The band also dropped a deluxe edition of the album which includes six bonus acoustic tracks.
