The music industry is still reeling from the death of rapper Riky Rick and guitarist Fabian Sing and now, hip-hop disc jockey DJ Dimples has died after suffering from a sudden brain haemorrhage.
“It is with deep sadness that the Mooi family announces the untimely passing of Boitumelo Athiel Mooi, popularly known as DJ Dimplez,” the family of the superstar confirmed in a statement.
The DJ, real name Boitumelo Mooi, is responsible for hit singles like ‘We Ain’t Leaving’, featuring Anatii and L-Tido, and ‘Way Up’ featuring Cassper Nyovest and JR. He is also the founder of the popular Pop Bottles festival.
His family has requested space to process this loss.
