It’s been a whirlwind for local pop star Tyla every since she dropped her massive hit ‘Getting Late’ at the end of 2020. Since then, the song exploded and became a viral sensation landing Tyla an exciting recording contract with Epic Records. Now, she reunites with the ‘Getting Late’ producer Kooldrink and DJ Lag for her highly-anticipated new single ‘Overdue’ – and it’s exactly the banger we were hoping for.
The track features on the just-released second season of the local Netflix drama ‘Blood & Water’ and sees the star return to familiar territory as she blends amapiano and pop together to create another dancefloor smash.
In true Tyla fashion, the star premiered a cinematic video for the single which features the star in school uniform at the infamous Parkhurst High where the series takes place. The clip also cuts to scenes from the show’s second season.
