It’s bigger and better than ever before. Moving to 2-day event in 2016, you know Ultra South Africa is bringing the heat with the best in dance music at the moment heading to our shores for the third Ultra Festival! Today, the team behind the hit festival announced the official first phase line-up for the prestigious festival – and they didn’t disappoint!
Russian DJ, Zedd, who is responsible for the smash hit singles ‘Beautiful Now’ featuring Jon Bellion and ‘I Want You To Know’ featuring ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez was first to be announced before Ultra SA announced that German DJ, Robin Schulz, will also be joining in on the fun in South Africa next year. Robin recently released his 2nd studio album ‘Sugar’ which features the smash hit single of the same name as well as the number one single ‘Headlights’.
Next to be announced was Dutch trance icon Dash Berlin, which, to be honest, I’m not too familiar with. However, I was so excited when Swedish duo, Galantis, were the fourth act to be announced. Their hit singles ‘Runaway (U&I)’ and ‘Peanut Butter Jelly’ have been on my iPod since they released and I can’t wait to see them perform live.
Ultra South Africa also, for the first time, announced the RESISTANCE STAGE complete with some of the finest names in the house and techno world! Therefore, it’s only fitting they bring out Seth Troxler along with the powerhouse duo, The Martinez Brothers. South Africa’s very own Black Coffee will also be playing on that stage.
As with any announcement, the best is usually saved for last. Skrillex rounded off the announcements today and man, he is set to put on quite a show! I remember seeing him on his last trip to South Africa and I was completely blown away by his performance so best be sure that I will be partying hard to his set.
