She’s back! 17x SAMA-winning songstress Zahara is ready to embark on her new musical chapter. The star has revealed that her new album ‘Nqaba Yam’ drops everywhere on 9 July and dropped the lead single ‘Nyamezela’ to support the track. As the song continues to gain momentum, the singer premiered the track’s official music video.
Shot at the Shepstone Gardens and directed by Monde Dube. The video is a representation of the starlet moving from darkness into light. Impeccably styled in the best local threads, Zahara symbolically rises above the trauma and disappointments of her past. Zahara says ‘This video captures my headspace and where I am right now. I want it to share a message of hope and resilience through tough times’.
‘Nyamezela’, directly translated means to endure, is the star’s non-traditional take on worship music. The song follows the overall theme of the album it heralds, ‘Nqaba Yam’, which is a sonic peak into the star’s journal – presented here through her very own country-styled music.
