You may remember Yanga from his collaborations with the likes of AKA, DJ Vigilante, DJ Dimplez and Da L.E.S. and now, Yanga making a name for himself on his own. The rapper has joined forces with Universal Music South Africa and dropped his new single ‘Not Enuff’.
Yanga’s new single is already doing big things. It has been playlisted on over 40 radio stations around the country and is fast becoming the rapper’s biggest single to date. The song came about after the rapper believed that he still has not reached his pinnacle regarding his career. “I was just in a stagnant space and I was adding up all my previous successes and I concluded that they were not enough for me,” he says. “I love being here and performing for the people but I really wanna be more. I always get told to wait, that song was me saying that if this is what I’ve been waiting for then it’s not enough. So from now on I’m doing things my way.”
This single is the first taste of his upcoming EP titled TIAM (Touch Is A Move) which is due for release later this year. Yanga has definitely become an artist to watch within the local hip-hop space. He has appeared on some of the biggest tracks to come out of the country in the past few years and has proven that his skill and lyrical ability is unquestionable.
I’m excited about Yanga’s journey with Universal Music South Africa. The single is fire and I can’t wait to see what else Yanga has to offer as he drops his new EP later this year. Judging from the recent music he has released, it’s going to be something unforgettable.
