Local pop sensation Will Linley is back with brand new music this week – and, as expected, it’s another catchy earworm that will be stuck in your head for the next few months.
The track, written by Linley alongside Bubele Booi, David Balshaw, James Smith, John Samuel Gerhart and Matthew Burgess, is about trying to get over a former lover but still finding moments in time where something triggers a sense of longing for that person.
When asked about the song, Linley shares “It is a song that is actually three years old. I wrote it the same summer that I wrote ‘Miss Me When You’re Gone’ and I had the chorus, but I have been sitting with the chorus for three years. But we have been rewriting and reworking the song until it actually felt right.”
He adds “Finally, I feel like we landed in a spot where it feels like there’s a perfect cohesion between the world that I want to build and pushing us into the new path world, and I am so excited to get it out.”
