South African pop star Joe Foster has had a fantastic 2018. Not only did he release his second solo album ‘Volgende Stap’ but as his career goes from strength to strength, so is his love life. The singer took to his Instagram page to share the news that he asked his partner of three years, Ziechfried Paul, to marry him.
In the emotional post, the singer reveals his struggle with the marriage between his love for Jesus and his homosexuality, however, he has finally come to a place where he feels comfortable with both. Ziechfried was one of the main reasons the singer got to this place and is excited to spend the rest of his life with the man who changed his life.
“I could never understand what it was like to be a light to the world as Jesus spoke. I tried to reject and bury my heart so deeply. I did it so that my light could shine as a good “Christian” to the world. My false light shone in a closet,” Joe says. “I started opening the cupboard doors slowly a few years back in that disillusionment. The best part of the new light is that it has attracted a gift from God to me and the Lord showed me how much He loves me by giving me this gift. On December 15, after nearly 3 years, I happily asked this gift to be mine forever. He said yes.”
