Can you believe that we’re finally in release week. This Friday, Ed Sheeran drops his highly-anticipated fourth studio album ‘=’ and, to celebrate, the star has been doing a whole lot of promo. Despite contracting the Covid-19 virus in the midst of his media storm, the star recorded his Tiny Desk Concert series where he performs four tracks off the upcoming album as well as a Foy Vance cover.
The series has gained popularity during the pandemic where guests can record performances at remote “desks” instead of performing around Bob Boilen’s desk in Washington, D.C.
Ed performed his smash hits ‘Bad Habits’ and ‘Shivers’ as well as the previously released ‘Visiting Hours’ as well as the star’s next single ‘Overpass Graffiti’. Additionally, Ed covered Foy Vance’s ‘Make It Rain’.
Backed by a bustling live band and backing vocals curated by musical director Adam Blackstone, Ed showcased his new music in the best way he can – live.
