It’s that time of the year again! The Taste of Joburg is returning to Montecasino for an unbelievable day of culinary pleasure. It’s one of the biggest food events of the year and I’ve got 10 double tickets to give away! This year, an incredible selection of restaurants will be on show.
The announced restaurants to-date are:.
2 Thai 4: Overseen by Head Chef Oya. They promise a menu of authentic Thai cuisine using fresh herbs and traditional spices all prepared by Thai chefs.
‘A la Bouffe: A family-run restaurant overseen by Head Chef Rumualdbegan, who began his culinary career at the age of 15 in France and now shares his experience of French Cuisine with Johannesburg.
Eatery JHB: Headed up by Chef Shayne Holt whose seasonal menu enables him to constantly change the food offering.
Escondido Tapas and Wine Restaurant headed by Chef Martine Christian. Their menu has a range of options; one of their most favoured dishes being their Arincini.
Fusion Pantry is a tastes and flavour fusion by Chef Robert Walker. His motto? Eat simple, eat bold flavors, and eat for the pleasure of it, food can tell stories.
Gwefey Restaurant – Head Chefs Chef Li & Chef Liang promise a flavourful trip across the Asian continent.
Junior South African National Culinary Team, headed by Chef Klaus Beckann owner of La Luna in Melville, the team will cook up a range of culinary delights to tantalise the taste buds.
Rabbit in the Moon. With Chef Nuno Coelho Barata at the helms, this menu offers an Italian feel that will make you feeling like you are in the streets of Sicily.
Spiceburg restaurant is the first South Indian restaurant in Johannesburg serving up both authentic southern and northern Indian cuisines. With Executive Chef, Jithender Datt Saklani at the helm, they are bound to spice things up.

Definately Spiceburg, reminds me so much of authentic Durban chow, cant wait to try them out again. This is so exciting, cant wait for taste of Joburg. Lets do it.
