Tresor’s Sonic Experimentation Continues On New Album ‘Motion’

Tresor’s talent is undeniable. The star has won several SAMAs, topped charts around the continent and has injected his unique approach to African music into every single piece of music he releases. Now, on his fourth studio album ‘Motion’, the star continues to push boundaries and does so boldly.

‘Motion’ features 14-track new tracks and sees the Tresor collaborate with guest artists Ami Faku, Msaki, Da Capo, Sun-EL Musician and Scorpion Kings (Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa).

On the album, Tresor dives into sounds that have influenced him as an artist through the use of classic samples and bravely continues experimenting with his music through sound and multi-lingual lyrics.

The singer admits that the album moves through the nostalgic theme from his previous album and presents the listener with an album that captures the essence of moving. Where music imitates life, the album acts as an indicator of where Tresor has been; and where he is headed personally and sonically. It is a moving soundtrack to love, life, and new beginnings.

Additionally, Tresor continues to challenge himself by adding more languages into the mix than ever before. On ‘Motion’, the star sings in a variety of languages including Swahili and Zulu proving that pop music has the power to unite not only the continent, but the world as well.

“‘Motion’ for me, is everything moving,” Tresor tells us. “The world is calling, our dreams are manifesting, and all the stars are aligned. Before I embark on this epic new journey, here’s a little sonic letter called MOTION. Enjoy the music!”
