Twenty One Pilots turned heads when they took home the Grammy Award at the 50th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles this year. The duo quickly stripped to their underwear as they said their acceptance speech and it was hilarious! However, the group quickly explained why they decided to take their kit off – and it wasn’t a publicity stunt.
AT some point in their lives, even the biggest artists watched the Grammy’s at home and dreamed of taking an award home and this was exactly the case with Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph of Twenty One Pilots. The group accepted their award for for the for Best Pop Duo/Group (their hit ‘Stressed Out’ won them the award) and told a touching story about how they watched the Grammys years back in Tyler’s rental house in their underwear. Then and there, they said it was decided if they ever attended the Grammys and won, they would accept the award “just like this.” Tyler then triumphantly said, “This just goes to show that anyone, anywhere, can do anything.”
