Yes! What amazing news to wake up to a Friday. Irish rock band The Script are releasing their new album ‘No Sound Without Silence’ next week and they have just announced that they are heading back to South Africa early next year. They will, however, NOT be performing in Johannesburg!
The Script have scored a huge amount of success globally by selling over 20 million records world-wide with all 3 albums going multi-platinum throughout the world. ‘Hall Of Fame’, the lead single from the last album #3, was a world-wide number one single with over 5 million sales, 133 million Youtube views and over 100 million Spotify plays. Their previous #3 world tour spanned 11 months and saw them play sold out shows in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.
Their latest single ‘Superheroes’ from their fourth album ‘No Sound Without Silence’ is currently in the Top 20 of the Kia Top 40 SA with iTunes on KFM and 947. The music video for ‘Superheroes’, directed by Vaughan Arnell, was shot in Alexandra, Johannesburg.
Fans will be treated to an evening of all their hit songs including live including ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’, ‘Breakeven’, ‘For The First Time’, ‘Nothing’ and ‘Hall Of Fame’ and more. Their last South African tour was a complete sell-out so fans are encouraged to get tickets early.
The Script will be supported by 5-time SAMA nominated, MTV MAMA Award winning band Gangs of Ballet.
