Dates and venues for The Script’s upcoming South African have changed. According to Big Concerts, “Due to logistical reasons, the dates for The Script and Phillip Phillips concerts in Johannesburg and Cape Town have changed and the Johannesburg concert has moved to the Dome, Northgate.” This, naturally, means that the tour isn’t selling as well as expected and that the company does not want to pay fees for a venue which they cannot fill.
The new itinerary will be:
Johannesburg: Wednesday 4th February at The Dome
Cape Town: Sunday 8th February at the Grand Arena, GrandWest
The Durban concert date on Friday 6th February at the ICC Arena will remain the same.
All tickets purchased for the previously itinerary will be valid for this new itinerary, and Johannesburg ticket holders will have the option to exchange their tickets for any of the new seated options that have become available for this concert. Any ticket holders that are unable to make the new itinerary may obtain a refund before the rescheduled shows by contacting either Computicket on 0861 915 8000 or Big Concerts on 011 759 7215.
The Script have scored a huge amount of success globally by selling over 20 million records world-wide with all 3 albums going multi-platinum throughout the world. Their latest single ‘Superheroes’ from their fourth album ‘No Sound Without Silence’ is currently in the Top 20 of the Kia Top 40 SA with iTunes on KFM and 947. The music video for ‘Superheroes’, directed by Vaughan Arnell, was shot in Alexandra, Johannesburg.
