The Parlotones are easily one of the most successful acts in South Africa right now and it’s crazy to think that the band has been around for 20 years. So, to celebrate, the group has gone big and releases their brand-new double-album ‘China’ today.
The album was preceded by the group’s new single ‘Can You Feel It?’ and features 25 new tracks which will please long-standing fans of the group while also opening them up to a whole new audience with their ever-evolving sound.
“It’s quite an exciting year for us, releasing a double album to celebrate 2 decades coupled with a local and international tour. It’s kinda surreal because it feels as fresh and as exciting as when we first started but it’s an adventure that’s spanned 20 years”, says Kahn Morbee. “We are really looking forward to bringing a new, yet familiar sound to all of our fans and allowing them to interpret what each song means to them. The songs mirror the human journey and reflects our melancholic as well as blissful sides laced with questions about life and our perspectives. We’re all thrilled about the end result and can’t wait to share it with the world”
2018 will also see The Parlotones take on a string of headline concerts in their native South Africa before making their way to mainland Europe, United Kingdom and Dubai on a 25 date tour through Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, England, Scotland and concluding the tour in Dubai.
‘China’ is now available in store and on all major digital music services.
