In just a few short weeks since launching on 19 April 2022, and with more than 1,000 entries already received, the DStv Content Creator Awards is already expanding. The announcement of two brand-new categories takes to 24 the number of categories open for entry.
The awards are sure living up to their mission to shine a light on the people, influencers, brands and agencies that make incredible, thumb-stopping content – and there is something for everyone.
New! The DStv Best On-Set TikTok Award
Everyone loves seeing their favourite cast, in costume, doing something quirky behind the scenes.
Whether it’s a dance, a blooper or something fun that your viewers will love, on set content has proven to be a hit with viewers. If you’re a production company currently shooting content for DStv, post some behind-the-scenes content on TikTok and enter it to win at , where you will also find the entry criteria. Remember to use the hashtag #DStvContentCreatorAwards and hashtag your show. The winning production will see DStv contribute R10,000 towards the wrap party.
New! Netwerk24 Smaakmaker
In partnership with Netwerk24, the DStv Content Creator Awards is looking for the next big Afrikaans content creator with the launch of the Netwerk24 Smaakmaker Toekenning. If you’re an up-and-coming creator who makes incredible digital content in Afrikaans, has a decent social following and is on the cusp of being a big star, this category is for you! Because this is an award for emerging content creators, preference will be given to nano and micro content creators with less than 80,000 followers. For this award, only one social platform will be judged – so choose wisely!
