It’s an annual event Afrikaans music lovers wait for every year – and this year it’s going to be bigger and better than ever before! The show, which has been held in Sun City over two weekends for the past 15 years, will now be one massive event at FNB Stadium on the 19th of September – and will feature Susan Boyle as the international headliner!
The line-up of artists for the event includes popular icons such as David Kramer and Leon Schuster who will perform their hits. Other Skouspel favourites on the bill are Kurt Darren, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Karen Zoid, Adam Tas, Emo Adams, Andriëtte, Adam, Mango Groove, Freshly Ground and Francois Van Coke.
Susan Boyle, who wowed the world on Britain’s Got Talent, will be visiting South Africa for the first time for the event. The Scottish songstress will belt some of the world’s best-loved songs in front of the massive audience. Oh, and performers will be accompanied by a symphony orchestra and two choirs. How rad is that? Oh, and sports fans – The Springboks’ first World Cup rugby match (against Japan), due to start at 17:45 SA time, will be broadcast live on the big screens at the stadium to concert-goers, so make sure you get there early!
